SAILBOOK Tracker app for iPhone and iPad

With this app you are able to create tracks with photos of your journey. No matter if you participating at a regatta, have fun regatta on your own or you are just sailing.

Functionality:
Take photos you would like to remember or take photos of places you have visited. These photos can be uploaded to our SAILBOOK servers later on and will be added to your profile. If you have been a part of a crew while taking photos, the photos with their GPS tracks will be assigned to the yacht you have been on.

After taking a photo the actual place and time of your position will be saved. These data will be send to the SAILBOOK server with the photo to be displayed in a chart. For this you have to click in SAILBOOK on "GPS Tracks" in your profile.

Since most of the time while on the water you do not have an internet connection, you can take as many photos as you like and upload them later, when you are within reach of an internet connection. To ensure the accuracy of the photos it is necessary to activate GPS in your mobile.

If you are participating in a regatta, you can use this app to capture your finishing time, by taking a photo of the finishing mark. SAILBOOK will automatically calculate your corrected finishing time and place. If the regatta administrator prepared the regatta for photo finishes with the SAILBOOK Tracker App.

Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
